An inter-school Science Fair-an exhibition cum competition was organized in three (03) categories and following was adjudged winners.

Category II (Higher Secondary Level):

2nd: Rockvale Academy

3rd: Judhdabir H/S School

Category III (Under Graduate Level):

3rd: Gorubathan Degree College

 

 

12th January’ 2018:

Kalimpong Science Centre in collaboration with Darjeeling Krishi Vigyan Kendra organized a program "Run for Health" on the occasion of National Youth Day from Dr. Graham Homes School to Kalimpong Science Centre (approx. 5 KM).

The runner was categorized into two groups: Male & Female group.

Seminar on "Resources & Tribes of North Bengal" held at Kalimpong Science Centre in association with Dept. of Higher Education, Science & Technology and Biotechnology, Govt. of West Bengal.

World Heath Day-Free Medical Health Camp- organized by Kalimpong Science Centre with active support of Dr. Sunil Singh Rathore, Kalimpong District Hospital and Dr. Indira Singh,Kalimpong District Hospital.

 

 

13th April' 2018 :

Invited Talks/Lectures-organized by Innovation Hub, Kalimpong Science Centre with Shri Pravat Dangal, Assistant Professor, St. Joseph's College, Darjeeling who presented on "Prof. Stephens Hawkins and his contribution is science"

& Shri Subrata Manna, Computer Programmer, Darjeeling KVK, UBKV, Kalimpong for presenting lecture on "Mobile Apps and its application in our daily life".

 

 

19th April' 2018 :

Invited Talks/Lectures-organized by Innovation Hub, Kalimpong Science Centre with  Dr. M. L. Acharjee, Associate Professor, Kalimpong College on the topic "Himalayan Fishes"  & Dr. Manjay Singh, Plant Pathologist, Gurubathan on "Need of Innovative Tools in Agriculture and Plant Diseases.

 

 

 

26th April' 2018 :

Talks/Lectures-organized by Innovation Hub, Kalimpong Science Centre with Dr. Sudarsan Tamang, Assistant Professor, Sikkim University on the topic  "Nano Technology and its Applications.

 

 

 

8th May' 2018 :

Invited Talks/Lectures-organized by Innovation Hub, Kalimpong Science Centre  on Disaster management by Shri.  Prafulla Rao, President, Save the Hills.

 

 

14th May' 2018 :

Visited St. Mary’s School, 17th Mile, Kalimpong and mobilized the students as part of Membership Drive. Models created in Innovation Hub were explained to the students to develop interest towards innovative works and also conducted an Idea Contes.

 

 

27th May'2018 :

Organized invited talk by Shri Sonam Yogel Bhutia, Senior Scientific Officer, Dept. of Higher Education, Science & Technology and Biotechnology, GoWB and delivered a talk on “Remote Sensing and its application” and interacted with the members of Innovation Hub.

 

 

 

7th June' 2018 :

Visited Bethelem Academy and mobilized the students as part of Membership Drive. Models created in Innovation Hub were explained to the students to develop interest towards innovative works and also conducted an Idea Contest.

Visited Saptashree Gyanpeeth and mobilized the students as part of Membership Drive. Idea Contest was organized for the students.
