Sept 7, 2019:

The Innovation Hub had organized one day workshop on Basic Electricals for its members. The one day session was conducted by Shri Rudra Kumar Chhetri, Technician, Industrial Training Centre, GoWB, Kalimpong. In this session the students learnt about basic electrical circuits i.e., an open and closed circuit, they learnt about series and parallel connections, they learnt about ohms law which is the fundamental of everything related to voltage and current,  in the end they were practically asked to perform all that they were taught.

 
 

Sept 8, 2019:

The Innovation Hub had organized an invited talk cum interaction on ecobricking of Plastics for its members. Shri Ashim Khawas, Registered Member, Global Ecobricks Alliance (GEA), Kalimpong was invited as resource person. He very profoundly explained about the advantages, uses and the positive impact it can make on the pollution caused by plastics.

 
 

Sept 13, 2019:

The Innovation Hub had organized one day workshop on Basic Electronics for its members. Shri Akash Pakhrin, Electronic Engineer, Kalimpong was invited as resource person. He explained about the basic components required in making an electronic model. He thoroughly explained the working principle and uses of resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, relays etc. He also helped the students make a very basic electronic model in the end of his session.

 

 

Sept 14, 2019:

The Innovation Hub had organized invited talk & interaction on Five Sense Organs of Human Body and Electronic Sensors for its members.  Dr. Subrata Manna, Computer Programmer, Darjeeling KVK, UBKV, Kalimpong was invited as a resource person. He very smartly showed the correlation between the various sense organs of a human body and various electronic sensors used in electronic models. His explanation made was simple for the students to grasp.

 
 

Sept 26, 2019:

The Innovation Hub had organized Draw Your Big Idea program for its members. The members were asked to draw/sketch their ideas on the chart paper. All the students actively participated in this session and some beautiful ideas came into light. This session brought out the creative side of the students.

 
 

Sept 27, 2019:

The Innovation Hub had organized one day Innovative Science Model Exhibition at St. Mary’s School. The members of Innovation Hub had participated in it. The one day long exhibition had gathered a lot of audiences who all seemed fascinated by the models displayed by the students. The members also had an exposure of facing the public.

 
 

Sept 28, 2019:
The Innovation Hub had organized one day workshop on Arduino and its programming for its members. The session was conducted by Shri Akash Pakhrin, Electronic Engineer, Kalimpong. The members of the Hub have been in several occasions briefed about Arduino so they actively interacted during the entire session. They had lots of doubts and queries which was cleared by him.

 
 

Sept 29, 2019:
The Innovation Hub had organized a workshop on Ecobricking of Plastics for its members. Shri Ashim Khawas, Registered Member, Global Ecobricks Alliance (GEA), Kalimpong was invited as resource person. He in a very basic way briefed the members about Eecobricks and started a practical session on it. He asked the students to individually cut the plastics into small portions and stuff it in a PET bottle. The students were asked to use only clean plastics.
